This bow accompanies the famous viola d’amore (1714) of Caspar Stadler, which is exhibited in the Germanisches National Museum in Nuremberg. The stick and frog of the original are elaborately decorated with silverpoint.
The frog is made of ebony, boxwood or snakewood; if desired, we can also add the purely decorative silver ornamentation.
The bow’s striking contours culminate in an eye-catching tip, but despite its graceful form, it readily shows its stronger side.
This model is delivered with two frogs for adjusting the hair tension while maintaining a consistent playing height (i.e. distance between hair and stick at the frog). If desired, we can also build this bow with a screw mechanism.

Customer satisfaction is very important to me in every order.
A down payment of approx. 1/3 of the purchase price enables the order to be processed quickly. The balance will be paid after satisfaction.
If, contrary to expectations, the bow does not please, the deposit can be refunded except for a handling fee of 100,- Euro. The circumstances of the order and deposit are subject to personal agreement.
I look forward to our exchange,
Hagen Schiffler-Lustig
